NY Philharmonic

So I bought the 2008-2009 subscription to the NY Philharmonic's program for children.  There are 4 shows.  We attended one yesterday.  It is a big treat for the kids.  We went to the Empire State Building and then to Rosa Mexicano (which we highly recommend) and then over to Lincoln Center for the Paris installment in great composers (the first was NYC!).  The kids absolutely love it and it was a worthwhile investment.  We go back in March and April for the final two shows.

Paola and her pony

Paola has turned into quite the little rider.  What started in June as a trial run thanks for grandma, has turned into her favorite thing to do.  Here's a pic of Paola on Houligan.

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween - made better because, for the first time, everyone was healthy.  Check out the pics.

Scarecrow Honors

Luca announced two weeks ago that we were going to compete in the first annual Clinton scarecrow contest.  So today, we assembled our CAPTAIN CLINTON and walked him downtown (much to the delight of passerbys).  It was very fun and we actually won runnerup in the Town Spirit category.  Check him out.  I think we have found a great new way to recycle Halloween costumes!

What's This?

Don't say a tree... but seriously... what is this?  Anyone know?

Paola for Obama!

I don't know where she gets this stuff from????

Lipizzaner Stallions....

Has anyone ever seen these horses?  It was SO MUCH fun!  The history on the stallions can be found here. Pictures from our night at Lehigh University can be found here.

10 Years and Going Strong

On September 26th (our 10 year anniversary), the children went off to Grandma's and we headed for our favorite place in Mexico.  Much to my surprise (YES!  It was a complete surprise!!), Pab had arranged with the hotel for us to renew our vows.  It was incredibly romantic, words wouldn't do it justice.  We wanted to share some pics of the happy night and the trip with you - click here!

Watch out Pele!

Okay - so maybe not - but it is fun to watch them!  More pics here.

He's 8!

Today we celebrated Luca's 8th birthday.  He opted out of the big party we always planned and we took three of his friends and went bowling.  It was a little wild but definitely fun and Luca was very happy.  Check out the pics.
